On Saturday, March 23, 2013, the 15th Annual Wooster City Schools Fine Arts Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Commons and Performing Arts Center at Wooster High School. The festival is free and open to the public. It will include visual and performing arts displays from all six elementary schools, Edgewood Middle School and Wooster High School. The Fine Arts Festival is generously supported by PNC Bank and the Wooster Education Association.
The festival will feature a visual arts gallery of student artwork from Wooster City School students from grades K-12. During the day, there will be stage performances by music students, the Speech and Debate team and drama students. The Graphic Art students will be presenting digital murals throughout the day. Art students will be demonstrating drawing and painting techniques and will provide face painting for children attending the festival. The Drama Classes will present stage make-up demonstrations.
For the first time, Wooster Ink, also known as wINK, will be producing custom t-shirts on-site and will be available during the entire festival.
The Wooster High School Drama Club will present Agatha Christie’s, And Then There Were None as part of the annual Wooster City Schools Fine Arts Festival celebration. Performances are scheduled for March 21, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and 24 at 2 p.m. in the WHS Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available at the Athletic Office during school hours and will be sold at the door. Adult admission is $6.00 and students and senior citizens are $4.00.
